Now Press Studio is the printing arm of Now Place 此間, dedicated to exploring the possibilities of Risograph printing as both a publishing tool and an artistic language.


We believe printing is not just reproduction, but a process of translation, collaboration, and experimentation.
As a one-person studio, we focus on small runs, thoughtful textures, and the unique beauty of imperfection — supporting zinesters, artists, and communities who want their ideas to take physical form.

Our Machine

We have a Risograph RISO SF5130, which prints one color at a time on uncoated paper up to 8.5” x 11”.

We have five ink colors:

  • Cornflower

  • Fluorescent Pink

File preparations

Accepted File Types

  • PDF (preferred)

  • PNG

  • Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator files also welcome

How to Prepare Your Files

  • Please send files print-ready.

  • Each color should be its own grayscale file.

  • Name each file with the color it’s meant for.

  • Resolution: 300–600 PPI.

  • If sending PSD/INDD/AI, please package with fonts and links. For best results, outline all fonts and vector linework.

Tips for Better Prints

  • ​Keep solid fills at 90% opacity max for smoother coverage.

  • Minimum text size: 7pt.

  • Minimum line weight: 0.5pt.

  • Convert type and linework to outlines if you can — it helps everything stay crisp.

Print Size

  • Maximum paper: 8.5” × 11”

  • Please leave at least 0.25” margin on all sides.

  • Full-bleed prints are possible with trimming — just ask.
